Hello to all,
While most of the writing community engages in a story-telling frenzy, I took the month off for a vacation from pecking at the keys. I did my best to avoid writing anything. I did have a thought for my latest book, The Antidimension. I spent a morning completing the final thought that always appeared lacking in my reviews. This lack of writing extended to editing, which I hope to return to so that I can publish my next book early next year.
The vacation was twofold. First, writing every day became tiring, and I needed a break from the endless edits and corrections. It was good to remove myself and relax for a month. The second reason for vacation was a minor health scare. My Cologuard test came back positive, and I required a complete colonoscopy. Yuck! Managing through that ordeal, the doctor said everything looked good and the test should come back clear. Then Thanksgiving happened, and now it is December, and I am back to work.
My vacation was from writing, editing, and advertising to a lesser degree. However, this did not stop the thoughts, ideas, and plot lines from popping into my head countless times during the day. The more relaxed I became, the more intrusive the future stories became. The creative side of my mind didn’t get the message we were on vacation.
The Antidimension is reaching the point where an ARC reader would enjoy reading it. I would love to have a fresh eye on my work and gain their opinion. If interested, please email me at dannymac@dannymacauthor.com.

I can relate to your trying to take time off from writing. Recently I spent a week in Palm Springs for golfing. I played 6 games in 8 days. But while trying to fall asleep my mind went to the new book that I plan to start in 2025. Exciting ideas played in y head, beginning to be written down. Those ideas are still play8ing around. I came back a fell into work related routines. I look forward to developing the rouch outline for the new book soon.
